New Features and Live Machining From WorkNC Dental

April 22, 2014 -- WorkNC’s specialist solutions for the dental industry were demonstrated at the 2014 Dental Forum in Paris, through a number of machine tool partners.

And visitors to the WorkNC booth were also shown new features in Version 4.1 which offer greater flexibility and automation:

  • ‘On the fly’ parameter and cutting condition modifications for machining sequences
  • Management of clamping systems and multiple positioning of individual blocks for machining
  • The Implant module enhances pre-milling with a new direct Toolpath Edit function
  • Automatic 3+2 inclined machining simplifies project preparation tasks
  • Machine kinematics give information about advanced machining feasibility before running calculations.

The main attraction on the Vero Software booth at the tradeshow was the live design and milling to produce dental prosthetics from visitors’ specifications, using WorkNC Dental 4.1 on partners’ machines – Willemin Macodel 308B, Datron D5, Imes/Icore 450i, VHF 5-axis, and Roland DWX50.

Visitors saw how the new release programmed the Datron 5-axis high speed mill to produce implant-based prosthetics in Titanium and Cobalt Chrome.

Business Manager Laurent Journeau says the easy to use process for implant-based prosthetics with full 5-axis, demonstrated that any manufacturer can mill implant bars and bridges with just a few mouse clicks. “Manufacturers saw how the software meets their needs through its additional automated functions and innovative process for milling materials such as Nano-composites, Nano-ceramics and Peek.”

There were also demonstrations involving the Imes/Icore desktop machine with Zirconia and Titanium 5-axis milling. Milling implant-based prosthetics to a visitor’s specification was carried out using direct calculations in WorkNC Dental.

While closing a sale at the show, WorkNC Dental engineers also discussed more than 25 specific projects with customers, and took over 150 strong leads.

WorkNC Dental is open, easy to use, reliable dental CADCAM software for machining DENTAL prostheses, implants and structures in the shortest possible time. Its perfectly optimized machining sequences apply state-of-the-art 3 and 5-axis CNC machining technologies.  WorkNC Dental CADCAM's user-friendly graphic interface, has been specially designed for prosthetists and dental technicians who are not experts in machining technologies.
