Consumers Energy Selects MIMS Mobile

Carlsbad, CA - May 28, 2015 - TC Technology announces Consumers Energy selects MIMS Mobile to help streamline field work.

Consumers Energy is one of the nation’s largest combination utilities, providing electric and natural gas service to nearly 6.6 million of Michigan’s 10 million residents, in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties.

Consumers Energy is leveraging its TC Technology ELA to equip over 2000 gas and electric crews with MIMS Mobile. The solution is tightly integrated with Ventyx Service Suite ™ so that dispatched service orders originating in SAP ™ are plotted on a map for easy viewing and for handy turn-by-turn navigation.

Additionally, situational awareness is increased by sharing crew locations powered by GPS and when legacy data is needed, any scanned service record card is available for quick access using intuitive searching and viewing capability.

Planning for the project started in 2014 and the go-live date is 2016.

MIMS, which stands for mobile information management system, targets return on investment by automating paper processes, streamlining tasks, and presenting helpful mapping to field workers. MIMS Mobile is ideal for utilities of any size ready to deploy ArcGIS Runtime. Benefits include improved performance, straightforward mapping and job integration, and a fresh look from TC Technology.
