Real Football Network Uses EA Animation to Review Dallas Cowboys Defense

NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2016 — (PRNewswire) —

NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Real Football Network is the ultimate destination for individuals who want to better understand what's going on in the world of football, including the weekly football matchups and football analytics. The Real Football Network challenges its viewers to understand the game on a deeper and more advanced level. This week, Real Football Network analyst Pat Kirwan used EA animation to demonstrate what the Dallas Cowboys defensive line will look like, at least early in the 2016 NFL season.

"The Cowboys have a real issue on defense," said Kirwan. "Pass rusher Greg Hardy is no longer with the team, linemen Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence will start the season on the suspended list, and they'll be joined there by LB Rolando McClain.  To make matters worse, rookie DT Maliek Collins and DE Benson Mayowa are on PUP recovering from injury.  It had me thinking about where Dallas' pass rush was going to come from this season."

Kirwan noted that veteran defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli is a very good coach who can get the best out of his personnel. Kirwan used the EA animation to show a zone blitz the Cowboys used last season in a game against the Atlanta Falcons.

"Marinelli has traditionally used a four-man rush to get pressure and usually resists blitzing more than he has to," said Kirwan. "However, desperate times call for desperate measures, and contrary to popular belief, Marinelli will blitz. He'll also be creative about it, and one key to making it work could be LB Sean Lee."

The EA animation give you an idea of how Marinelli will work to find ways to get pressure on the QB, even without a marquee pass rusher.

The Real Football Network has become the leading online channel for football fans who are eager to develop a deeper understanding of the game. Led by NFL insiders Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller, the Real Football Network allows fans to see and understand the game on a deeper level.
