Movellus Closes Funding from Intel Capital for Digital Tool Expansion Technology

San Jose, CA, May 8, 2018 – Movellus, Inc., today announced that it has closed funding from Intel Capital for its technology which enables automatic digital implementation of selected IP for semiconductor design that could previously only be implemented using custom analog methods. The funds will be used to accelerate market deployment and adoption of Movellus’ technology by semiconductor and system design companies.

“Intel has a strong reputation for its leadership in technology investments,” said Mo Faisal, President and CEO of Movellus. “We are excited to have Intel Capital as an investor and to collaborate with Intel as we continue to develop and commercialize our technology.”

The digital automated method developed by Movellus eliminates the long implementation times associated with analog design, speeding time to market for manufacturers. It also enables lower power consumption and smaller footprint than traditional analog IP.

“Intel is excited by the innovation from Movellus, it has good potential to shorten the analog design cycle and enable power reduction. We look forward to working with Movellus,” said Anwar Awad, vice president of the Platform Engineering Group at Intel Corp. and General Manager of the Mixed-Signal IP Solution Group.
