Excellicon’s end-to-end timing constraints solution is now ISO-26262 Certified according to Automotive Safety Integrity Levels, for Road Vehicle Functional Safety standard

February 2, 2021 -- Laguna Hills, CA. – Excellicon Inc., today announced that its products have been qualified for use in for safety related development according to ISO-26262 Automotive Safety Integrity Level up to ASIL-D.

The certification performed by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH, Testing Laboratory for Safety Components, has qualified all Excellicon products for use in automotive applications and development.

“With advances in automotive component development, and integrations of ever more complex SOC’s into automotive applications, many component providers as well as their downstream suppliers are now required to develop products which meet the ASIL standards.” Said Rick Eram, VP of Sales and Operations at Excellicon. He continued, “as autonomous driving cars and electric cars are starting to transition into mainstream product lines, many government and safety agencies are tightening and enforcing standards for manufacturers as well as incorporating additional regulations impacting safety of vehicles on the road. This advancement is further complicated by roll out of more of 5G components, and AI applications incorporated into communication components integrated into such automotive products. As a result, more of our customers are required to meet ISO-26262 standards in order to meet their customers requirements. We are pleased that we can now provide a safe solution for our customers with respect to timing design and timing closure as they develop SOCs with very complex timing requirements.”

Traditional timing constraints development and validation with manual or decades old solutions is simply not sufficient to meet the demands of chip designers and safety standards. Excellicon’s automation and verification solutions provide a systematic and quantifiable solution to design and verification of chip timing constraints development.
