The InterDigital high performance dual mode baseband ASIC and protocol stack are optimized for data-centric devices such as PC Cards or embedded wireless broadband products. The ASIC features standards-compliant 2G and 3G modes with HSDPA and HSUPA technology - delivering data speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps in the downlink and 1.5 Mbps in the uplink. InterDigital's advanced receiver with receive diversity assures superior interference mitigation, resulting in high data speeds and coverage, especially at the cell-edge. The power-efficient ASIC uses innovative hardware accelerators, voltage islands and clock gating techniques, giving users maximum battery life.

To accelerate the adoption of its baseband ASIC, InterDigital provides complete data card reference designs with fully-integrated third party components, software and documentation. In addition, support for integration, verification, certification and testing are provided to customers, who also receive the advantage of InterDigital's extensive pre-certification and interoperability testing.
The company is now accepting requests for customer sampling and operator trials in early 2008.
