Decatur, AL – November 20, 2013 – 3-GIS, an Alabama-based software development company, announces Nyfors GIS as the newest customer to deploy the updated 3-GIS Network Solutions package. In partnership with Informi GIS, 3-GIS’s Denmark-based Value Added Reseller, 3-GIS has acquired Nyfors as their newest international customer. Based in Brønderslev Denmark, Nyfors will be the first European company to deploy the newly released 3-GIS Web 2.1, with web and mobile capability.
Nyfors, a Denmark-based telecommunication and electric utility provider, has chosen 3-GIS Network Solutions to manage their telecommunications fiber-network data and infrastructure. In the process of switching to a more robust GIS solution, Nyfors has migrated their existing data to Esri’s latest ArcGIS Server release with 3-GIS Network Solutions. The 3-GIS Network Solutions consists of 3-GIS Web, 3-GIS Mobile, and 3-GIS Admin, each of which play a unique roll in asset management. Nyfors now benefits from a web-based solution, allowing them to utilize 3-GIS’s most recent blown fiber capabilities and functionality. With 3-GIS Network Solutions, Nyfors does not only benefit by having the ability to precisely manage blown fiber assets, but they are also able to leverage web and mobile products in ways which were unrealistic before.
Blown fiber is a commonly used network component with many European telecommunication companies. As Nyfors continues to expand their blown fiber network, a solution for precise asset management is a necessity. Prior to the business relationship between Nyfors and 3-GIS, Nyfors did not have a web environment, so a solution which could accommodate their blown fiber management needs is of large value. Initially starting with 10-15 users, 3-GIS Web now provides them with a fully editable web-based solution, which gives them the ability to design and manage all assets of their fiber network with robust fiber capability.
In addition, the 3-GIS Network Solutions will not only allow Nyfors to work with an asset management solution that will help them tremendously, it will also allow them to be one of the first telecommunication companies in Europe to work within a fully-editable web environment. Helping Nyfors reach a broad demographic of users within their company, 3-GIS Web will also make asset information readily available for users across their enterprise. 3-GIS Network Solutions have opened the door for Nyfors to be a leader in the European telecommunication market with their new asset management system and have helped them attain a new level of fiber capabilities.
