Applied Imagery Releases Quick Terrain Modeler Version 8.0

March 14, 2013 - Applied Imagery is pleased to announce the release of Quick Terrain Modeler Version 8.0, which makes working with LiDAR point clouds, DEM’s, and color imagery easier, faster, and more powerful.  QT Modeler v8.0 offers a complete reworking of point cloud profile analysis and editing tools, interactive 3D cross section tools, and an expansion of coordinate conversion capabilities, including vertical datum transformations.  For DoD users, QT Modeler v8.0 offers a comprehensive suite of travel route analysis tools that enhance understanding of situational awareness and mobility along planned routes – all in an interactive 3D environment.  In addition, exporting routes and imagery to handheld GPS can now be done with a few simple clicks, thus dramatically compressing the time line for critical mission planning tasks.

Please contact Applied Imagery for additional information or a free trial license to explore the new capabilities.

About Applied Imagery

Based in Silver Spring, Maryland, Applied Imagery is the manufacturer of Quick Terrain Modeler, the world's premier 3D visualization and exploitation software package for both point clouds and DEM's.  Designed for use with LiDAR, but flexible enough to accommodate other 3D data sources, Quick Terrain Modeler provides an easy to use software experience that enables users to work with significantly more data, render larger models, analyze data faster, and export products quicker.  Because all of Quick Terrain Modeler's tools are fast, simple, and easy to learn, users can hit the ground running and quickly maximize the power of their 3D data.
