Plunify Appoints Greg Daughtry Vice President of Marketing

Former Xilinx Executive to Manage Worldwide Corporate, Product Marketing

SINGAPORE, Sept. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Plunify®, a leading design optimization technology provider, today named Greg Daughtry vice president of marketing, a newly created position reporting to Harnhua Ng, founder and chief executive officer.

Daughtry joins Plunify from Xilinx where he most recently was director of product marketing. Working from Boulder, Colo., Daughtry will manage Plunify’s worldwide marketing efforts, including corporate and product marketing.

In announcing Daughtry’s appointment, Ng noted his business acumen and extensive technical expertise as a senior product marketing leader. “We welcome Greg to Plunify. He is a strategic thinker able to manage complex products, drive user adoption and increase revenue through innovative marketing programs, all the skills we need to get to our next level of growth.”

Greg is a 25-year veteran of the semiconductor industry, with experience in software, hardware, and systems, including roles in marketing, sales, research and development. During his 11 years with Xilinx, Daughtry held product management and marketing positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to Xilinx, he held senior technical positions at various companies, including Avago Technologies, Sierra Design Automation (now Mentor, a Siemens Business), Monterey Design Systems (now Synopsys) and Intel Corporation. Daughtry holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

Plunify’s InTime performance optimization tool for field programmable gate array (FPGA) design addresses complex design challenges and accelerates time to market using a data-driven, machine-learning approach. It is the first Xilinx partner to offer a development environment with the Vivado® Design Suite in the cloud –– The Plunify Cloud Platform available on the Amazon Web Services™ (AWS).

“It’s an exciting time to join Plunify,” remarks Daughtry. “The semiconductor industry finally is catching up to what Plunify has known for years –– the way to solve FPGA design timing and performance complexity is through cloud-based, machine-learning techniques.”
