He reports to Dr. Luc Burgun, chief executive officer (CEO) and president.

Ballan, an experienced international executive with specific expertise in executive management, company organization and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), brings added strategic sales, marketing and business development skills to EVE.

Prior to joining EVE, he worked for ENEA, provider of embedded software and services, where he most recently served as vice president of business development and previously as sales and operations manager for Europe and Asia. Previously, he worked as an organizational consultant and as the Central European sales manager for Wind River Systems, helping grow the business in Central Europe to a significant portion of the companys revenues. He was part of Wind Rivers executive management during its initial public offering (IPO).

A graduate of École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (Paris Graduate School of Management) with a degree in international affairs, Ballan also attended Chuo University in Japan as an exchange student. He attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business-AEA Executive Program. Ballan is fluent in French, German, English and Japanese.

Remarks Dr. Burgun: We welcome Christophe to the EVE team. His expertise and areas of specialization nicely balance those of our other executive managers and will help us to position EVE for the next level of growth.

This is a remarkable opportunity, says Ballan. EVE is in the forefront of hardware/software co-verification and has a great potential to become one of the big names in the EDA world. Over the years, EVE has attracted top talent, developed exceptional products and acquired an impressive customer list. I am pleased to join EVE at such an important time in its development and am looking forward to be part of this success story.
