Glu and DreamWorks Animation SKG(R) Extend Relationship by Bringing Mobile Game Based on 2009 Film "Monsters vs. Aliens" to Phones Worldwide

SAN MATEO, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—September 9, 2008— Glu Mobile Inc. (Nasdaq:GLUU), a leading global publisher of mobile games, today announced an agreement with DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (NYSE:DWA) to develop and publish the mobile game to launch in conjunction with the March 2009 film release of Monsters vs. Aliens. The film reinvents the classic 50s monster movie into an irreverent modern day action comedy.

Were excited to build on our relationship with DreamWorks to bring the mobile game based on this highly-anticipated film to mobile gamers worldwide, said Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing, Glu Mobile. The movie plot lends itself perfectly for a mobile game, and our production team is working closely with the DreamWorks team to bring the story and monstrously funny characters to mobile.

Todays announcement marks the second business collaboration between Glu and DreamWorks. Glu is developing and publishing the mobile game for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, which will launch worldwide in conjunction with the films U.S. premiere on November 7, 2008.

Glus demonstrated success as a world-class developer and global publisher make them the ideal partner to bring Monsters vs. Aliens to mobile, said Chris Hewish, Head of Interactive for DreamWorks Animation SKG. Were pleased to expand upon our relationship with Glu to create the mobile game based on this valuable property.

The film includes an all-star cast including Reese Witherspoon as Ginormica, a larger-than-life woman, Hugh Laurie as Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D., Seth Rogen, as the jellylike B.O.B. and Will Arnett as the half-ape, half-fish Missing Link.
