Silicon Canvas to Demo new "Built-in DFM" at DAC 44

Other Demos & IPL Workshop Sign-Up also Available On-Line

San Jose, Calif., May 9, 2007 - Silicon Canvas, developer of the Laker suite of high-performance tools for custom IC design, will be demonstrating the latest in advanced custom IC design at the 44th Design Automation Conference in San Diego California, June 4-7. Laker's new built-in DFM will be featured, showing how to focus on prevention rather than treatment in a DFM design flow. The latest advances in Laker's DDL (design/constraint-driven) and SDL (schematic-driven) flows will also be demonstrated. For a complete list of demo topics and to register on-line, please visit Silicon Canvas' website at www.sicanvas.com and follow the DAC demonstration link.

"Silicon Canvas is making custom IC design exciting again by offering technology-leading products in a market that had been stagnant for more than a decade," said Dr. Hau-Yung Chen, President of Silicon Canvas. "If you are not familiar with Laker, you are in for a treat. But, even if you are one of our over 250 Laker customers worldwide, we still have some excitement in store for you!"

In addition, Silicon Canvas, a founding member of the IPL (Interoperable Pcell Libraries) initiative, will be co-sponsoring an IPL luncheon workshop on Wednesday, June 6th. Registration for the luncheon is now available at www.iplnow.com. Besides the workshop, Silicon Canvas will be supporting the work of the IPL initiative at the IPL booth (#2957) and will present at the IPL showcase at the Synopsys Interoperability Breakfast on Wednesday morning.

Silicon Canvas' 2007 DAC theme is "The Art of IC Design" look for the Laker artist in booth #2379 and on Silicon Canvas T-shirts throughout the show.
