BOULDER, Colo. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — January 28, 2010 — The 18th annual Design and Verification Conference (DVCon), sponsored by Accellera, announced today the executive speakers participating on the conference’s newest panel, “What keeps you up at night?” Moderated by JL Gray, head of the “Cool Verification” EDA blog and verification consultant for Verilab, Inc., the panel will be held Wednesday, February 24 at 3:30pm at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose, California. DVCon will run Monday, February 22 through Thursday, February 25.
The executive lineup for the new panel includes: Ron Collett, president and CEO, Numetrics; John Goodenough, worldwide director Design Technology, ARM; Sheela Pillia, senior manager, Process, Circuit and Technologies/Arrays& Mixed Signal IPs, AMD; Jim Crocker, founder and vice president of engineering, Paradigm Works; and Victor Melamed, director of engineering, Ambarella. This year's panelists will answer the question, "What Keeps You Up at Night?" as well as address the pressing challenges and opportunities faced during the product development cycle. Panelists will also be faced with no-holds-barred questions from the audience.
There is also a new meeting on Monday, February 22 at 6:00 pm titled, “Social Media 101 for Engineers,” presented by Karen Bartleson, DVCon social media chair and Rick Jamison of Synopsys. This will be an interactive session with Bartleson and Jamison sharing insights and leading a discussion focused on the basics of new media technologies, especially for engineers. They will address Twitter as an emerging important communication platform and answer questions such as, “What's an RSS feed? How does Google rank search results? How can social media help engineers with their daily work activities?”
