Several Demonstrations to Feature PoE-Enabled Ethernet Switches, Mid-Spans, IP Phones and WLAN Access Points
Highlighting its growing portfolio of innovative PoE solutions, TI will show how its second generation TPS2375 PoE powered device controller efficiently manages the power in today's market-leading IP phones. In addition, Molex Incorporated and Phihong will demonstrate PoE solutions enabled by TI's TPS2384 quad-port and TPS2383A octal-port power managers for power source equipment (PSE) systems. Molex will demonstrate its recently announced HyperJack(TM) 1000 Gigabit PoE module, which incorporates the TPS2384 to enable power management functions within an RJ-45 connector. Phihong will demonstrate mid-span and PoE power supply equipment designed with the TPS2383A. Members of the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL) Power-over-Ethernet Consortium also will be available in TI's booth.
"802.11 and Wi-Fi: What's Next" Panel Discussion at N+I Wireless Conference
In addition to TI's focus on Power over Ethernet, WLAN guru Bill Carney, chairman of the Wi-Fi Alliance and director of marketing and business development for TI's Residential Gateway and Embedded Systems Group, will participate in a panel discussion at the N+I Wireless Conference on May 3 at 10:15 a.m. The session will cover key WLAN industry issues and opportunities, including new developments in the 802.11 standard, voice over WLAN, security, WLAN management, system architecture and core technology possibilities.
