The application advantages of current feedback and voltage feedback differ. In many applications, the differences between CFB and VFB are not readily apparent. Many of today's high speed CFB and VFB amplifiers have comparable performance, but there are certain unique advantages and disadvantages associated with each. This tutorial examines some of the important considerations associated with the two topologies.

Voltage is essentially electrical energy in a circuit, therefore, can neither be created or destroyed by the law of conservation of energy. Voltage is needed in a circuit to create a potential difference for the current to flow current is the flow of electrons in a closed circuit. The direction of the current depends on which theory you use conventional current says that current flows out the positive terminal of a power supply and into the negative terminal.
