Subir (Stranger ) 01/27/04 05:23 AM Chip Design Incubator Would like to know more about any Technology Incubator dedicated to Chip Design. While doing a study of the entry barriers in the Chip Design sector, realised that the biggest barrier is the high cost of the EDA tools. Can anyone give me insights about how the entry barriers can be overcome? Am working on the premise that the Incubator can host the licenses, and based on the usage of the software - bills the tenants and passes off the revenues to the EDA tool provider ( after deducting some service charges). Will this work? Will the EDA tool providers be willing for such a model? And are there any EDA tools available on an ASP Model? Thanks in advance Subir
