CATI Forms Exclusive Partnership with Objet Geometries

Buffalo Grove, IL - October 15, 2008 – SolidWorks Reseller, Computer Aided Technology, Inc. www.cati.com, has formed an exclusive partnership with 3D printer manufacturer, Objet Geometries, Inc.

CATI is the first Midwest reseller of the brand new Alaris30 3D Printer, with territories in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, and Kentucky.

The Alaris30 is a one-of-a-kind 3D printer that produces highly-detailed, true-to-life prototypes. Its unique features include industry leading 0.001 inch layer thickness, extremely smooth finished surfaces, moving parts, and clear, easy-to-read printed text, all using Objet’s strong VeroWhite model material. It was these innovative qualities that prompted CATI to partner with Objet.

Tom Humrickhouse, Vice President of Digital Prototyping at CATI, said, “We’re looking forward to our partnership with Objet. The Alaris30 is revolutionary product that creates models with SLA like quality and feature definition at 3D printer prices, and we are excited to provide our customers with this industry changing solution.”

The Alaris30 uses PolyJet™ Photopolymer Jetting Technology which produces a high resolution and highly accurate parts. Because each print layer is instantly hardened by UV light the final product is immediately ready for handling; increasing production time and decreasing production cost.

“We’re always looking for products that will provide our customers with the complete solutions they need while simultaneously saving them time and money. Needless to say, we’re looking forward to our partnership with Objet,” stated Rich Werneth, President of CATI.

Eric Bert, Director of Channel Sales, at Objet said, "The Alaris30 is the first Objet product to be distributed through our newly organized Dealer / Reseller Channel in the US and Canada. CATI’s experienced team is uniquely positioned to provide outstanding service and support to Alaris30 customers.”“Objet is happy to have partnered with CATI, a top 3D printer reseller in the Midwest. We’re sure that together we will be able to provide a unique and innovative 3D printing solution,” said Frank Marangell, President of Objet.
